Cowboys Sporting Black-Gray-Black Uniform for Arkansas Pine Bluff
Somehow, this is only the third time OSU has worn this color scheme.
The Cowboys going dark against the Golden Lions.
OSU will wear a sexy Black-Gray-Black look on Saturday night against Arkansas Pine Bluff capped with the Phantom Pete helmet. It’s a v. good look for an FCS opponent, and it illustrates just how many options the Cowboys have at their disposal.
By the way, this look is criminally underused.
OSU is 2-0 all-time in this color combination. For such a solid look, it’s a bit surprising that the Pokes have only worn it twice, both coming with the 2016-present uniform kit. The Cowboys beat Kansas in 2019 and Iowa State in 2020 wearing B-G-B. The KU game featured the commemorative Folds of Honor jersey. The ISU win was virtually the same look as we’ll see tonight.
This is the first time the Cowboys have worn this helmet this season. They wore it against Iowa State and TCU last season.
