Jacie Hoyt could soon close in on bringing a five-star prospect to Stillwater.

Janiyah Williams on Tuesday night released her final three schools: Oklahoma State, Tennessee and Oregon. She had also announced offers to Oklahoma, North Carolina, Ohio State, Kansas, Georgia, Texas Tech and others.

Williams is a class of 2025 five-star prospect out of Edmond Memorial. ESPN lists her as the No. 21 player in her class. It looks as if Williams will make her college decision on Friday.

Williams is familiar with Stillwater, playing her freshman season with the Pioneers. According to MaxPreps, Williams is averaging 16.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 2.1 steals a game while shooting 50% from the field and 46% from 3-point range this season at Memorial. She dropped a season-high 32 points on Edmond North in January.

The Edmond Memorial Bulldogs are in Oklahoma 6A Regional action this week. Memorial beat Southmoore 87-27 in the first round and play Jenks on Friday for a trip to Area.

Should Williams choose the Cowgirls, she’d be the second in-state freshman Hoyt has brought in, joining current freshman Stailee Heard. Out of Sapulpa, Heard has arguably been the Cowgirls’ best player this season. She averages 13.7 points (second-most on the team) and 6.2 rebounds (most on the team) while shooting 52% from the field and 36% from 3-point range. Adding a second standout from the state to Heard could provide some big momentum for Hoyt in the state moving forward.
