Daily Bullets (Aug. 24): If OSU Lost Two Big 12 Games, To Whom Would They Be?
We’re looking for sponsorships for the upcoming season and school year. Are you interested in sponsoring 10 Thoughts or Daily Bullets? Reach out to Marshall at pistolsfiringblog@gmail.com to get the conversation started.
Three Thoughts
• This 247 Sports piece has OSU winning all their Big 12 games but losing to TCU and K-State – do you agree?
It fits the mold of OSU losing a game they shouldn’t (West Virginia 2013, Iowa State 2021, etc.)
• CBS has the Pokes as a top-25 brand in college football – makes sense (CBS Sports)
• I agree with this take – if you told someone “OSU wins eight games in 2024”, this would have to be the reason why:
I’m not terribly concerned with the Cowboys on offense. They have the best running back in college football and enough in the passing game coming back to score with just about anyone. The problem for me lies in a defense that I worry will hold them back especially against the pass.
Two Quotes
• Content I would pay for – Mike Gundy (honestly) rating each of his recruiting classes two years later:
Gundy on freshman tight end Josh Ford: “If they knew as much about him as we knew about him he’d be a four star.”

• This stat could be expert smack talk for OU fans at SEC tailgates – “our old rival is way better than you”:
“Fun fact: Oklahoma State has had more 10-win seasons since 2010 (eight) than Nebraska, Texas, Texas A&M, Miami and Tennessee combined (seven).” – @ADavidHaleJoint https://t.co/LkOaqzBb0r #GoPokes

One Question
• If you could add a player to this Cowboy Football roster – one that you imagine would cost $500k in NIL money – what would you want to add?
My answer: defensive lineman or defensive back.
Non-OSU Bullets
• UConn and Big 12 appear to be in serious negotiations – CBS’ Matt Norlander gives more details here
• Our children need stories (faith-based)
Sounds like a fun concept:
Designed by Tiger Woods, @PopstrokeGolf is looking to open its first Oklahoma location at @thehalfokc near Britton and Broadway.
