Daily Bullets (Feb. 13): Tulsa Talking Ahead of OSU Game, More OSU-Indiana Comparison
Thanks for stopping by – here’s your daily dose of Oklahoma State sports news.
OSU Bullets
• The Tulsa football coach had some strong words for their season opener against OSU (PFB)
• Mississippi State dropped its home-and-home series against Texas Tech after the SEC announced a move to nine conference games this year – OSU is set to play the Crimson Tide in 2027, could we see Alabama (scheduled to play Ohio State the first year of their series against Oklahoma State) drop their series with the Cowboys? (HCS + PFB + FCS Schedules)
• Here’s another OSU-Indiana comparison if you’re curious:
The Indianapolis Star reported that IU loaned its athletic department $34 million to jumpstart the Cignetti era — mostly to pay off the previous coaching staff and bring in Cignetti’s staff.OSU hasn’t slacked off in its commitment to football. The university paid off Mike Gundy’s $15 million buyout and other assorted costs associated with the coaching transition, plus funded enough transfer portal money that allowed Morris to bring in a class that most rank in the top 10. • 2026 OSU signee scored 56 points in a game recently (TulsaWorld)
• Congrats to Cade Cunningham on buying part of the Texas Rangers:
Detroit Pistons All-Star and Arlington, Texas native Cade Cunningham has purchased a minority ownership stake of his hometown MLB team, the Texas Rangers, he told ESPN.
