Bright Side
After a disappointing loss yesterday – Lindy Waters found some sunshine on a cloudy day.
Despite the Cowboys suffering a loss, Waters, who finished with 14 points, saw space for positivity.
“There’s a lot of positives,” he said. “We didn’t respond well after big wins, not being as competitive, not playing hard. I thought we played we really hard today. I thought we competed at a high level. I thought we wanted it more than in the past.” [NewsOK]
Kudos to Waters after a tough loss to stomach – the Pokes played with confidence and hit big shots in a way they hadn’t after big wins in the past.
It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane, It’s James Washington
NFL pundits are raving about James Washington’s prospects with one reservation.
With Washington’s ability to track the ball in the air, and with the strength of his hands, he might be one of the most well-rounded deep threats to the enter the NFL in some time. The only question teams may have is if he will have the deep speed to separate as consistently as he did in the Big 12 over the past three seasons. But if Washington can run in the 4.4s at the NFL Combine, he might be in the first-round discussion sooner rather than later. [ProFootballWeekly]
So the assumption is no longer just “can they tackle in the Big 12?” but can they run at all.
I do like how the author pointed out his stellar yards after catch originates from the fact that he looks like a running back, a great point.
