Daily Bullets (Nov. 24): OSU’s Coaching Stock Rises, Cowboys Close a Strong Weekend
Thanks for stopping by – here’s your daily dose of Oklahoma State sports news.
Scores
Wrestling: Pokes 25, Arizona State 11
OSU Bullets
• A Denton-area newspaper mentioned the school’s concern about OSU coming for Eric Morris and how they’re trying to ward off other schools (Denton Record Chronicle)
• The Players Era tournament starts in Las Vegas tomorrow (OSU not participating), but the Big 12 appears to be announcing they’ll be automatically slotting in Big 12 teams in the future (CBS Sports)
• Pokes finished a 2-0 wrestling road trip over the weekend with a solid win over Arizona State yesterday (PFB)
• This was super encouraging to read over the weekend about OSU’s ability to compete financially:
If all usual donation sources have returned to the Cowboy bandwagon, OSU would have the monetary muscle to compete.I’m not suggesting that Oklahoma State is about to do football money like Texas Tech does football money. [TulsaWorld]
• In a move that could impact OSU’s coaching search, Florida State announced yesterday they’re retaining their head coach (Football Scoop)
After a nice win over K-State, you can see Utah’s Kyle Whittingham getting choked up and appearing to be done coaching after this year (they have a head coach in waiting named) – it would have been incredible for Gundy to have had this experience (X)
• It’s Brennan Presley time in LA:

Love this risk profile:
“The best type of risks to take are ones where (1) the worst outcome is manageable and (2) the best outcome is life-changing.
Think: Asking someone on a date. Or, investing an amount of money you can afford to lose into a business with high upside.
Look for opportunities where it won’t kill you if it goes poorly, but you’d be blown away if it goes well.”
