ICYMI on Friday: Kyle Boone was hired by CBS Sports to cover college hoops. You guys wish him well. He’s earned every bit of it.

Football News

Mason Rudolph’s numbers in the 4th quarter (and for the season) are astonishing. Everything we’ve wanted him to be. [PFB]

Jordan Sterns on how good hurting feels: “But that’s good to be tired. That means you didn’t leave anything out on the field. We keep doing that, keep leaving it out there, win or lose we can be satisfied.” [NewsOK]

Three things we learned on Saturday in OSU’s win over KSU. [PFB]

Robert Allen says the final KSU drive was more dramatic than Bedlam 2014: “The crowd was all standing through that final Wildcat drive. It was as intense and high dramatic situation as I can remember since the Fiesta Bowl win over Stanford in overtime. Yes, I am saying it topped anything last season and it topped the Bedlam win in 2014. You can debate, but that is my opinion and I am sticking with it!” [Go Pokes]

Helmet sticker for Mason Rudolph this week. Well-deserved. [ESPN]

This was a stunning revelation to me — James Washington has a real chance to pass Rashaun Woods on the all-time receiving yards list. [PFB]

No doubt who is on top of the Big 12 power rankings this week. [NewsOK]

Mike Gundy has been elite in close games over the last three years. Related: He is 18-1 as a favorite since 2014. The only loss? CMU. [PFB]

Mason’s not going to … gulp … leave, is he? [CRFF]

The 16 best stats from Saturday’s game. [PFB]

Who you got?! This is actually a really good question.

Look at the shadow.

Very cool.

Yes.

Good stuff here from Kyle Cox on how Blake Jarwin’s explosiveness and consistency have helped fuel OSU’s offense the last few weeks. [PFB]

This is well done.

Around the League and Country

Berry Tramel goes scorched earth on Waco here: “It wouldn’t surprise me if a Big 12 legal team has scoured the conference bylaws, trying to discover a loophole by which Baylor could be removed from the conference. Kick out Baylor, bring in Houston.” [NewsOK]

Pro Football Focus folks see what I see — the Big 12 hurtling towards Norman on December 3.

Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield has the nation’s top passing grade at 89.9 while Oklahoma State’s Mason Rudolph ranks seventh at 80.9. It’s unfortunate that both teams suffered early-season losses – Oklahoma to Houston and Ohio State, Oklahoma State to Central Michigan and Baylor – or this game would have even higher stakes.

Either way, it’s setting up for a classic Big 12 shootout with a championship on the line and New Year’s Six Bowl implications. For Mayfield, a trip to New York may be on the line as well as he’s thrown the ball at such a high level this season, those losses should not keep him out of the Heisman discussion. [Pro Football Focus]

Let’s not act like throwing $10M at a coach is a huge deal anymore. The market says that person would barely be the highest-paid CFB coach and, real talk, would probably still be underpaid because pretty much all coaches are underpaid. [Yahoo]

This is incredible. Truly incredible.

Recruiting News

Spencer Sanders is a dog. I hope he stays committed. [PFB]

Hoops News

Oklahoma State scrimmaged Colorado on Saturday in Boulder. Brad Underwood said he was bent on creating adversity for his guys. [PFB]

This is really good. I’m fired up about Lindy W.

Other Sports

Oklahoma State houses Bucknell in the season-opening duel. John Smith:”I’m feeling better about my team right now. I was a little concerned going in with a few starters out, and you don’t like starting your season like that.” [okstate]
