Awesome stuff here on Cole Walterscheid by Thomas Fleming. [PFB]

Mason Rudolph on Brad Lundblade: “I love Brad. He’s my center. He’s a great dude. He’s a great Christian leader. Lot in common with him, both coming from private school guys, coming to the big-school scene. We kind of bonded through that. I just enjoy going to work with him.” [NewsOK]

Chris Carson broke his hand. Whoa. [PFB]

No active quarterback in the Power 5 ranks — not Deshaun Watson, Chad Kelly, J.T. Barrett or Baker Mayfield, who tried and failed twice against Texas — has started and beaten every opponent in his conference during his collegeiate career. [ESPN]

I think Mike Yurcich is a pretty good coordinator. Here is why it doesn’t always seem that way. [PFB]

Glenn Spencer on Ramon: “He’s just gotta be a more disciplined, focused player. The thing that gets him some balls every now and then — peeking back at the quarterback — are the same things that get him burnt on a 60-yard slant.” [O’Colly]

Mike Gundy on why he honors veterans at games. [PFB]

OSU has been pretty average so far against FBS opponents. [PFB]

Jordan Burton: “Chick-fil-A was my biggest enemy.” [NewsOK]

This is awesome.

I agree with this. I don’t think this is a huge game for the program, but it is for the season.

This is great. Shoutout to @OSUMaverick for posting it.

Baylor News

Seth Russell on Ish Zamora who was suspended for beating his dog: “He’s been bombarded by a lot of things. I feel for the guy. He’s shown me some things people have said to him. It’s mind blowing. For the most part he’s been really, really positive. He’s over there (on the scout team) making catches that are five feet beyond anyone else. He’s not someone who’s going to sit on the sideline and pout.” [NewsOK]

Senior Seth Russell is 11-0 as the Bears’ starter, but only four of those games have come in Big 12 play. He has never faced Oklahoma State. [Tulsa World]

Why doesn’t everyone run the Baylor offense? OSU’s defensive strategy is simple. Try to stop the Baylor running game without committing too many defenders. And if safety help is needed, OSU must hope its cornerbacks win one-on-one battles. [NewsOK]

Notes on Mike Gundy’s Baylor press conference. [PFB]

I am concerned for my guy Ramon on Saturday. Here is Spencer: “When you’re spread with four [receivers], your corners are going to be on an island unless you’re playing a three-deep zone, but then you’re soft on the corners.” [Go Pokes – $]
