Mike Gundy on the game today: “There’s a lot going on during football season and then basketball season for OSU. Baseball went to the College World Series. But as we know, there is kind of a lull sports-wise in this state once you finish basketball to a certain extent. The Thunder has kept us alive here, giving us something to watch, but other than that, people are ready for college football.” [O’Colly]

Mike Gundy on himself, Mike Holder and Burns Hargis: “I would say that there’s a chance that all three of us are in a position that we’re not going to coach or administrate anywhere else. Hargis doesn’t have interest in being anywhere else. He’s probably going to retire here. I would guess Holder is going to do the same. … For the most part, I’m in a position now where this is where I’m going to be. I think that helps as much as anything.” [NewsOK]

What are the realistic expectations for Barry J.? Thomas Fleming breaks that down here. [PFB]

Austin Hays: “Compared to flying up to Central Michigan last year, we’re so excited we get to open up at home. All your family and friends get to come. It’s going to be an awesome atmosphere.” [NewsOK]
