Dakota Geer Named Volunteer Assistant at Clarion
Geer is headed to his home state to being his coaching career.
Recent Oklahoma State graduate and All-American Dakota Geer has been named as a volunteer assistant coach at Clarion in Geer’s home state of Pennsylvania.
Geer wrestled the past four seasons at Oklahoma State after transferring to Stillwater from Edinboro. He was an NCAA All-American in 2019, an Honorable Mention All-American after the canceled 2020 NCAA tournament and an All-American again in 2021. He competed at both 184 and 197 during his career with the Cowboys.
“Coach Geer brings a history of success on the mat and comes from a program that expects greatness,” Clarion coach Keith Ferraro said in a release. “This addition will be a huge benefit to our upper weights in the practice room, and I am excited to see his impact on the team. I would also like to thank Friends of Clarion Wrestling (FOCW) and our passionate group of alumni and fans. Without them, it would not be possible to bring coaches like this to Clarion.”
Geer graduated in 2016 from Franklin Area High School in Pennsylvania, just 45 minutes away from Clarion.
