Dean Heil Wins Last Chance World Team Trials Qualifier
Heil will have a spot at the 2021 World Team Trials
The Last Chance World Team Trials Qualifier was on Friday in Fargo, North Dakota, and former Cowboy and two-time NCAA champion Dean Heil was an entry at 65 KG.
Heil, who now trains at the Navy-Marine Corps RTC in Annapolis, was entered in a three-man round-robin with Kyler Rodriguez and Dylan Droegemueller.
Heil needed little time in both matches winning via technical superiority in each. He took out Rodriguez 10-0 in 38 seconds and Droegemueller 10-0 in just 37 seconds.
This qualifies Heil to compete in the 2021 World Team Trials. The date and location of the World Team Trials is yet to be determined.
