Defensive Tackle Brendon Evers Commits to OSU

The Cowboys picked up another in-state commitment on Sunday with the announcement coming from 6-foot-3, 285-lb. Bixby, Okla. defensive tackle Brendon Evers that he plans to join StillySquad17:
Thank you to everyone who got my here! ??#stillysquad17pic.twitter.com/yphzaMru6j

He told Pistols Firing in February that of his offers, Oklahoma State was the favorite – and he wouldn’t take long with his decision. And Joe Bob Clements sealed the deal and seemed pretty happy about the commitment:
It's awesome to hear the Pistols Firing from Bixby, OK! Cowboy DL got better! #Toughness #GoPokes

I caught up with him briefly on Sunday, and he said he will be “honored to call himself a Cowboy.” Here’s what OKPreps.com had on his decision to commit on Sunday:
“OSU started recruiting me at the start of my sophomore season,” Evers said. “I fell in love with the program and the coaches.” Evers picked up an offer from the Cowboys earlier this year. Despite being an OU fan all of his life, Evers is ready to put on the orange and black. “It was the college that was the best fit for me.”
Evers is the fourth commitment of the 2017 class joining linebacker Brendan Vaughn, safety Ty Thomas, and in-state offensive lineman Adrian Wolford.
