Dez Bryant in joint practice: ‘Let’s [expletive] Go!’

Dallas held a joint practice session with the St. Louis Rams on Monday, and former Cowboys Dez Bryant and Joe Randle are in action and making big impressions. Randle is trying to make the most of DeMarco Murray’s departure to Philadelphia.

“I knew this day would come,” Randle told USA Today. “I’m just trying to make it happen every day.”

Part of Randle’s intrigue is his explosiveness both out of the backfield and his downfield talent as a pass-catcher. He’s already showing some of those skills off in camp.

He is also showing off why he could be the No. 1 back for the Cowboys, with his quickness and agility as a runner.

Dez Bryant, who received a contract extension this offseason, has been gimpy with a minor hamstring strain, but has still been practicing. With camp taking place, it is a good time for him to ease himself back in physically.

Even with the hammy issue, it doesn’t hamper him from making plays with his hands. He makes one handed snags look effortless.

Physically he is not 100%, but his mentality and intensity hasn’t missed a beat — even if it is just preseason.

Part of his role for the Cowboys is also a team leader, and despite the reported lack of intensity, Bryant is doing his part to ensure his squad stays sharp through the preseason.
