Dominic Ramacher Commits
J.W. Walsh’s former teammate at Denton Guyer, Dominic Ramacher, a 3-star “athlete” (according to Scout) committed to OSU over the weekend.
This commitment came shortly after Ramacher’s visit to Norman on Friday. Perhaps he was frightened by the “my gosh you thought putting Eddie’s signature on the floor of GIA was too soon, we’ve shattered that in every way imaginable” too soon Sam Bradford statue unveiling?
Ramacher is 6’3 230 and runs a 4.7 (which my finite brain doesn’t comprehend), and as you can see from the video below he’s a different breed. Humans that large aren’t supposed to run away from DBs like he does. In fact, he almost reminds me of Jeremiah Masoli (minus the arm) with the way he runs the ball.
It’ll be interesting to see how Monken fits him in over the next 2-3 years. Gundy’s all about adapting to his players so we’ll see if that includes re-instating the TE position because I’m pretty sure a 250-lb. Ramacher running slants and outs into Big 12 secondaries could be…um…effective.
Also, Robert Allen had a good writeup on the way Ramacher actually committed.
