Driver in Homecoming Tragedy Reportedly Admits to Suicide Attempt
The driver responsible for multiple deaths and even more injuries in Saturday’s homecoming parade was taken into custody Saturday, and speculation continues to circulate about the driver’s mental state of mind.
According to Morgan Downing of Fox 23 Tulsa, the driver, Adacia Chambers, reportedly told an individual who helped with the incident that she was trying to kill herself because she “wanted to be free.”

Apparently, Chambers has a documented history of suicide attempts, and the latest attempt was one that attempted to take others with her. This is a clipping from the affadavit:
Upon booking defendant admitted to having a history of suicidal attempts and admitted to booking staff that she was suicidal at the time of the incident but not at the time of booking.

As more details emerge the story becomes more and more heartbreaking, and the mental state of Chambers is growing to be an obvious issue that she dealt with for an extended period.
