The GameDay crew picked Oklahoma State to win Bedlam 3-2, and celebrity guest picker Nate Bargatze even threw some shade the Sooners’ way.

The ESPN College GameDay crew is in Tuscaloosa for LSU-Alabama, but they took second to mention Bedlam as they went through their weekly picks.

Desmond Howard started things off with a Sooner pick, predicting the Sooners D will slow down the nation’s leading rusher.

“I think the Sooners’ defense is going to contain the running game of Oklahoma State and Ollie Gordon and contain him. He’s not gonna get loose. Put the game into [Alan] Bowman’s hands. I like Oklahoma to bounce back after losing last week to Kansas.”

Pat McAfee said he’s still mad that the Sooners made him look bad with the loss after he picked them as the No. 4 team.

“Give me Ollie Gordon II and Oklahoma State to get a massive win at home.”

Comedian Nate Bargatze’s appointment as celebrity guest picker drew some online ire from LSU and Bama fans alike since he’s a Vanderbilt fan with no direct ties to either team. But he does have some strong feelings about the SEC.

“I think Oklahoma is in for a rude awakening when they come to the SEC,” said Bargatze. “They’re going to be the new Vanderbilt. We’re going all the way. I’m going OK State, as well. Last year of Bedlam. I’m going OK State as well.”

“Nice pick,” said Lee Corso, his pen gripped firmly. “That was my super dog. Oklahoma State is gonna win that.”

Kirk Herbstreit finished the panel with a Sooner pick stating that people are cooling on Dillon Gabriel too quickly after the KU loss and the near miss against UCF.

The Cowboys and Sooners will square off at 2:30 p.m. CST on ABC.
