Five-Star Prospect and Former OSU Commit Kelvin Banks Decommits from Oregon
One of OSU’s highest-ranked targets is back on the market.
Kelvin Banks has had an interesting recruiting process to this point, and it took another turn Monday.
Banks, a five-star offensive tackle from Texas, decommitted from Oregon on Monday after Mario Cristobal left the program for Miami. Before committing to Oregon this past summer, Banks was committed to Oklahoma State for almost a year.
Oklahoma State was Banks’ first offer, coming back in May of 2019. He committed to the Cowboys that September, 22 days after he received an offer from Texas. He was committed to OSU until July of 2020.
He visited OSU on an official basis this past summer, about a month before he committed to Oregon.
Banks is the No. 14 player in all of the 2022 class. A five-star prospect, Banks has offers from Alabama, Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, USC, Florida, Florida State and others.
He is listed at 6-foot-5, 300 pounds and attends Summer Creek High in Humble, Texas, northeast of Houston.
