Five-star Recruit Bryce Thompson Cuts List, Includes OSU in Final Four
OSU has made it to the Final Four.

Oklahoma State has made it through another round of cuts for five-star Tulsa-area superstar Bryce Thompson, who on Sunday named the Cowboys in a newly-trimmed top four. The list eliminates Michigan State from contention, as expected, and also includes OU, Kansas and North Carolina.
None of this is a real surprise (especially if you’ve been following the PFB+ thread on him). Thompson has made visits to the four finalists over the last 60 days, but MSU was long expected to be the first contender to fade from contention to land him. And so on Sunday he made that formal.
As for what’s next for the Booker T. Washington standout, a commitment looms. As he noted this inches him one step closer to a final decision, which could come as early as the early signing period, which runs from Nov. 13-20.

If Thompson were to commit today (he won’t), he’d become the second commitment in the 2020 class and the second from within the state. The lone pledge of OSU’s 2020 class joined this past week as Putnam City West combo guard Rondel Walker committed, after which he stated his intentions were to become the first domino in a roll of upcoming commitments.
“We’re not done yet,” Walker said via The Oklahoman at his commitment ceremony regarding what OSU’s next steps are in the 2020 class. “I’m going to get who I need to get in there to put us in the best position to win and go from there.”
