Five-Star SG Shuler Chooses Ole Miss Over Oklahoma State
On Monday evening, 2017 five-star shooting guard Devontae Shuler picked Ole Miss as his college of choice over Oklahoma State. This was expected. Shuler is a senior at one of the most impressive high school programs in the country at Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia.
He is the No. 100 player in the country according to 247 Sports.

The 6-foot-3 Shuler averaged 10 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists for Oak Hill last season. The Warriors won the Dick’s Sporting Goods National Tournament at Madison Square Garden and finished No. 2 in USA Today Super 25 poll.
Shuler is just another name in the parade of highly touted players to come through Oak Hill at one point or another in high school. The list of former Oak Hill players includes Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, Ty Lawson, Michael Beasley, Rajon Rondo, Stephen Jackson, and Brandon Jennings.
The explosive Shuler would have paired nicely with PG commit Zack Dawson to give the Cowboys one of the most explosive backcourt classes in the country for 2017. Shuler is dynamic with the ball in his hands and will likely thrive at Ole Miss. Hopefully he does not Laquon Treadwell us.
