Former Cowboy Wrestler Eli Hale wins D-II National Title at UCO
We learned Eli Hale was transferring midseason about three months ago.
John Smith indicated that it was on good terms and that it was simply a move that everyone felt was best for Eli.
It worked out. He dominated his way to a National title only really being pushed in the semifinal which he won 4-3. He picked up a tech fall in 3:49 seconds in the final.
At 125 lbs Ei Hale takes the titles at 3:49 with a 17-2 Tech fall over Maleek Williams (UIU). #D2Wrestle pic.twitter.com/wDZTZPyw5X

Any feedback on Eli I’ve ever heard has been very positive. From high school coaches and wrestlers to people around OSU, everyone I know that knows him speaks very highly of him so it’s very cool to see him accomplish this.
