Former Four-Star Wide Receiver Tre Griffiths Enters the Transfer Portal
Griffiths was a four-star recruit in 2024.
Another Cowboys is going to try his options in the transfer portal.
Oklahoma State wide receiver Tre Griffiths intends to enter the transfer portal, according to a report by GoPokes. He’s just the latest in a group of Cowboys set to see what options are out there amidst a coaching change this offseason.
Griffiths, a 6-foot-3 wideout from Keller, Texas, came to the Cowboys as a four-star recruit and the No. 46 player from the state of Texas. His senior year, Griffiths caught 43 passes for 847 yards and eight scores.
After two seasons in Stillwater, Griffiths goes into 2026 as a redshirt sophomore. He appeared in OSU’s finale against Colorado in 2024 and then against UT-Martin and Oregon in 2025. He did not record any stats.
Griffiths is the second wide receiver to enter the portal, joining former Nebraska transfer Jaylen Lloyd.
Due to a recent rule change, a 15-day portal window should open five days after a new head coach is hired. The NCAA’s official portal window opens Jan. 2 and runs through Jan. 16.
