Bowman transferred to Oklahoma State after spending three seasons at Texas Tech and another two with Michigan. In all, he threw passes in seven college football seasons, finishing his career with 11,212 passing yards and 65 touchdowns.
His first season with the Cowboys started with an unconventional three-quarterback rotation in 2023 where Bowman, Garret Rangel and Gunnar Gundy split snaps. After a 33-7 loss at home to South Alabama, OSU nixed that and named Bowman the starter moving forward. After that disappointing start, the Bowman-Ollie Gordon backfield duo led the Cowboys to seven wins in eight games to close the regular season, including a 27-24 win against No. 10 Oklahoma in the final Bedlam.
That run saw the Pokes qualify for the Big 12 title game, where they’d fall to No. 7 Texas before beating Texas A&M in the Texas bowl. Bowman’s first year in Stillwater finished with him completing 61% of his passes for 3,460 yards and 15 touchdowns to 14 interceptions.
Year 2 was less illustrious to say the least. After being named the Walter Camp National Player of the Week for throwing for 396 yards and five touchdowns against Tulsa, Bowman was pulled in the Big 12 opener against Utah. Two weeks later, he was pulled again against West Virginia, and Rangel started the next game against BYU. But Rangel broke his collarbone in that game, pushing Bowman back into action before the Cowboys eventually moved on to Maealiuaki Smith to close the year. Bowman’s year finished with 2,423 passing yards, 16 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
The Brahmas are 1-7 this season and are officially out of the playoff hunt.

Wilson made 46 starts with the Cowboys over five years, including starting the final 24 games of his career.
He came to OSU as a three-star prospect in the 2019 recruiting class from Argyle High School. Wilson chose the Cowboys over offers from Arizona State, Baylor, Texas Tech, Kansas, SMU, Utah and others.
The CFL is in preseason. The Tiger-Cats open the year with a game against he Calgary Stampeders on June 7.
