The Cowgirls have a new leader.

Oklahoma State’s women’s wrestling club on Friday announced former Cowboy Izzak Olejnik as its new coach. Women’s wrestling became an official club sport at OSU last fall.

Olejnik wrestled for only one year at OSU after transferring from Northern Illinois before the start of last season. He finished his career as a two-time All-American after placing fifth at 165 pounds last season. He finished his redshirt-senior campaign with a 30-7 record. He also placed third at his first and only Big 12 Wrestling Championships.

At Northern Illinois, Olejnik qualified for the NCAA Wrestling Championships four times and won a pair of MAC conference titles.
