There will be as many Oklahoma State representatives as an entire country on the golf course in Paris.

The International Golf Federation announced Tuesday the 60 qualifiers for the men’s Olympic golf competition based on the final Olympic Golf Ranking during a two-year qualification period. A finalized field will be published July 2. The United States was the only nation with more than two qualifiers with four, which was the maximum allowed. Oklahoma State matched that, also with four former Cowboys set to compete at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Wyndham Clark, Viktor Hovland, Alex Noren and Kris Ventura will represent OSU and their respective countries at the Paris Olympic Games. The men’s golf competition will be Aug. 1-4 at Le Golf National.

You can see the full ranking here:

Clark is the highest-ranked former Cowboy at No. 5 and the only one that will compete for the U.S. Clark initially attended OSU before transferring to Oregon. This year, Clark has a win at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and a pair of runner-up finishes. This will be Clark’s first Olympic Games.

Hovland is just under Clark at No. 6 and representing Norway. He was born in Oslo, Norway. In 2024, Hovland has a top-10 finish, placing third at the PGA Championship, and has finished in the top 25 five times in 10 events so far. During the 2022-23 season, Hovland had three wins, including the TOUR Championship. At only 26, this will already be Hovland’s second Olympic Games after qualifying for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

After Hovland, Noren is the next Cowboy listed at No. 26. From Stockholm, Noren will compete for Sweden in his second Olympic Games, having also participated in the Tokyo Olympic Games. Noren has a pair of top-10 finishes in 2024.

Lastly, Ventura will represent Norway alongside Hovland after qualifying at 56th. Ventura and Hovland will be Norway’s only two athletes in men’s golf. Ventura was born in Puebla, Mexico, but his mother is of Norwegian descent and he moved to Norway when he was 12. This will be Ventura’s first Olympic Games.
