Four-Star 2025 Guard Carlsheon Young Commits to Oklahoma State
Young is one of the first 2025 prospects to commit to a school.
Mike Boynton has a head start on his 2025 recruiting class with the addition of an in-state prospect.
Carlsheon Young, who has played at Putnam City West and Newcastle, announced his commitment to Oklahoma State on Saturday. Young was on an official visit to Stillwater this past weekend. Young will play this upcoming season at Huntington Prep in West Virginia.
A 6-foot-4 guard, Young is a Top 100 recruit in the 2025 class, according to 247Sports, Rivals and On3 with offers to Kansas, Arizona State, TCU, Oklahoma and others.
Oklahoma State offered Young back in May of 2022, and the Cowboys were the first program to offer him. He has since made multiple visits up to Stillwater, also showing up in October of 2022.
When the 2025 contact period opened in June, Young told PFB that Boynton and assistant Keiton Page reached out to him within 10 minutes of the period opening.
Young is among the first 2025 prospects to commit to a program.
