Four-Star Athlete Rodney Gallagher Schedules Oklahoma State Visit
Gallagher picked up an OSU offer Tuesday.
Rodney Gallagher announced an Oklahoma State offer on Tuesday, and Wednesday he announced plans to take a trip to Stillwater.
Gallagher, a four-star athlete in the 2023 class, announced he will be on Oklahoma State’s campus on an official basis from June 15-17.
Who Is He?
Gallagher did it all for Laurel Highlands High School in Pennsylvania this past season, whether that be playing quarterback, running back, corner or returning punts (he also lists himself as a wide receiver and a safety). At 5-foot-10, 160 pounds, Gallagher probably projects as a slot receiver at the college level. He led Laurel Highlands to an 8-4 record in 2021.
A dual-sport athlete, Gallagher is also a 1,000-point scorer on Laurel Highlands’ basketball team, surpassing that milestone in his junior season.
In the Rankings
A consensus four-star recruit, here is where Gallagher ranks nationally among the different services:
247Sports Composite — 104
247Sports — 97
Rivals — 107
ESPN — 172
Others Involved
Gallagher already has a healthy amount of offers. Penn State, Michigan, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Arizona State, Oregon and Texas are just some of the schools that have extended offers at this point. He recently took an unofficial visit to West Virginia, and he announced official visits to Minnesota, Pitt and Virginia Tech. He also took an unofficial to Penn State in the fall.
