The Cowboys are attempting to flip a highly touted wide receiver from SEC country.

Corey Barber announced an Oklahoma State offer on Wednesday. Out of Birmingham, Alabama, Barber is a 6-foot-1, 185-pound receiver who is currently committed to Ole Miss. He has also announced offers to Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, Miami, Oregon, Texas A&M, Tennessee and others.

Barber is the No. 288 player in all of the 2026 class, according to the 247Sports Composite ranking. That lists him as a top 50 receiver in the class and a top 15 player from the state of Alabama.

Barber plays at Clay-Chalkville High School in Pinson, Alabama, where two games into his senior season, he has caught seven balls for 272 yards (38.9 yards a catch) and three touchdowns. He also has 51 yards of kick returns and returned a punt 41 yards for a touchdown.

As a junior at Spain Park High School last season, Barber caught 73 passes for 1,424 yards and 17 touchdowns and also took seven rushing attempts 59 yards.

Barber committed to Ole Miss in May after an April official visit. After his commitment, Barber took official visits to Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia this summer.

As things stand, the Cowboys have just one receiver committed in their 2026 class: Jabarie Thornton out of Waco.
