Four-star RB Deondrick Glass Names Oklahoma State in Top 10 Schools

Four-star running back Deondrick Glass, a blue-chipper from Texas powerhouse Katy, announced this week that Oklahoma State has made the cut from 25 to 10 for him along with Texas A&M, Alabama, Ohio State, OU, USC, Texas, TCU, Michigan and Georgia.

Glass is a Class of 2019 recruit and former MaxPreps Freshman All-American who was offered by Oklahoma State’s staff in June … of 2016.  So OSU has been in on him for quite some time, pre-dating some injuries that have plagued him, but barely slowed him, over the past few seasons. Through three high school seasons, Glass has compiled 4,230 yards and 70 touchdowns in one of the most prolific offensive attacks in Texas.

“Glass plays for a program that has been tradition-rich with producing D1-level running backs and he is next in line and may end up being the best of a strong bunch,” 247Sports said of his potential. “He runs with a good center of gravity and balance and that makes him hard to easily knock off of his feet. He will make yardage after first contact. He can pick up the tough yardage in the middle of the field, but has the speed and power to make long-distance plays as well.”

Oklahoma State signed just one running back in the 2018 class in Jahmyl Jeter and has yet to land a commitment in the 2019 class. The 5-11, 190-pound speedster would certainly fit the mold of what Oklahoma State would love to bring in — with a combination of size, speed and agility that could complement the current roster well — but the staff has a ton of competition to beat out in this race.
