Four-star WR Chooses Longhorns over OSU
It was reported this weekend that four star wide receiver Tren’Davian Dickson would be making his decision before the end of the month between Texas, Alabama, Texas A&M, and OSU.
Dickson made an unofficial visit to Stillwater and even potentially revealed a new helmet we might see sometime next season. But on Tuesday, he announced he would be taking his talents 7 hours south.

If there is a plus side to Dickson’s decision, it’s that several other elite receivers who were favoring Texas may take a second look toward Stillwater. (More on that later)
Obviously, Dickson would have been an excellent addition at a skill position OSU will need to address before signing day. Although OSU has not received a verbal commitment from a wide receiver for 2016, athlete Tyrell Alexander will most likely slide into wide receiver after playing most of his high school career at quarterback. And Dillon Stoner, a two-way player for the Jenks Trojans, will likely move to wide receiver also.
The state of Texas has a wealth of talent, but prying prospects from the state of Texas is a tall order, and Tuesday is just another reminder of the constant challenge for Mike Gundy and his staff.
