Freshman Tracker: Youngsters Take Back Seat in Bedlam Shootout

Published

on

One week after toting the rock 36 times for 142 yards and adding two total touchdowns, true freshman tailback J.D. King saw his role greatly diminished thanks to the heroic performance of Justice Hill against the Sooners on Saturday.

King did not log a carry, however he did record one catch which went for 7 yards, and was targeted in the end zone by Mason Rudolph on a pass that was broken up. He and safety Thabo Mwaniki were the only true freshmen to record statistics in the Bedlam shootout, as Mwaniki logged three tackles 0n the back end– tied for a career-high in a game thus far.
