Friday Night Highlights: Ford, Stillwater Win Fourth Straight, Nnodim Gets to Quarterback Again

All but one of the Cowboys’ 2024 football commits were in action this past weekend.
Here are recaps of how each prospect did with stats and highlights provided if available.
Josh Ford / TE / Stillwater (4-2) / Oklahoma
The Pioneers pushed their win streak to four games with a 35-18 win over Charles Page this past weekend.
Josh Ford caught four passes for 49 yards, including a 24-yard reception. He also had four tackles, including a tackle for loss.
Stillwater travels to Bartlesville on Thursday.
Armstrong Nnodim / DL / Horn (4-3) / Texas
Mesquite Horn got back above .500 with a win against crosstown rival Mesquite, winning 48-27.
Armstrong Nnodim recorded four tackles, three tackles for loss, a sack and five quarterback hurries. That brings his season sack total to 11.
Nnodim’s Jaguars travel Friday to Tyler Legacy.
Rodney Fields / RB / Del City (5-0) / Oklahoma
Rodney Fields and the Del City Eagles remain unbeaten with a 30-0 win against Sapulpa.
Fields carried 17 times for 72 yards and a touchdown.
Del City hosts Tulsa Memorial on Friday.
David Kabongo / S / Byron Nelson (6-0) / Texas
David Kabongo and Byron Nelson remained unbeaten with a 42-17 win against Haltom.
MaxPreps didn’t have stats for Byron Nelson, but Kabongo’s highlights reveal him coming up and laying the lumber with a handful of tackles.
Byron Nelson hosts Keller (home of OSU WR recruit Tre Griffiths) on Friday.
Tre Griffiths / WR / Keller (5-1) / Texas
Keller entered this past weekend unbeaten, but the Indians ran into a buzzsaw in state power Southlake Carroll, falling 56-10.
Tre Griffiths still had himself a day, catching six passes for 177 yards and Keller’s only touchdown.
Griffiths and Keller face OSU commit David Kabongo and Bryson Nelson on Friday.
Landyn Cleveland / S / Mansfield Legacy (1-5) / Texas
Mansfield Legacy’s tough season continued with a 64-3 loss to DeSoto.
Legacy didn’t have any stats listed on MaxPreps, but Landyn Cleveland’s highlight reel shows him making a handful of tackles and forcing a fumble in the game while playing corner.
Mansfield Legacy hosts Waxahachie on Friday.
Temerrick Johnson / Edge / Midlothian Heritage (6-0) / Texas
Temerrick Johnson’s Midlothian Heritage Jaguars keep rolling with a 42-7 win against Mansfield Summit.
Johnson recorded three tackles, a tackle for loss and a sack in the win.
Midlothian Heritage plays at Ennis on Friday.
Willie Nelson / DB / Longview (5-1) / Texas
Longview won a tight one against Forney 13-7 this past weekend.
Willie Nelson recorded six tackles and a pass breakup in the win.
The Lobos host North Mesquite on Friday.
Chauncey Johnson / OL / Lonoke (3-3) / Arkansas
Chauncey Johnson’s Lonoke Jackrabbits got back to .500 with a 35-7 win against Cave City.
Behind Johnson, Jackrabbit quarterbacks threw for 217 yards, and Jackrabbit rushers ran for 128 yards on 6.1 yards a carry.
Lonoke plays Friday at Heber Springs.
Luke Webb / DL / Deer Park (5-1) / Texas
Luke Webb and Deer Park bounced back from their first loss of the season with a 65-0 win against Pasadena.
The Deer host Pasadena Memorial on Friday.
Caleb Hackleman / OL / Pleasant Grove (6-0) / Texas
Pleasant Grove, the same high school that housed OSU linebacker’s Nickolas Martin and Xavier Benson, remained unbeaten with a 63-28 win against Gilmer.
The Hawks play Friday at Pittsburg.
Gunnar Wilson / LB / Melissa (6-0) / Texas
Gunnar Wilson’s Melissa Cardinals stayed unbeaten with a 50-7 win against Poteet.
Melissa plays Friday at Denison.
Jonathan Agumadu / LB / McKinney (6-0) / Texas
Jonathan Agumadu’s McKinney Lions were off this week but host Allen on Friday.
