Given the Cowboys’ struggles over recent seasons, it might be surprising that the Pokes have won seven of eight against the Cyclones with three of those wins coming in Ames. The Pokes haven’t dropped a game in Hilton since the 2019-20 season.

These teams’ most recent meeting came in Hilton and resulted in a 65-56 OSU W. John-Michael Wright scored 19 points that day, tying an OSU-high for him. Bryce Thompson (12) and Caleb Asberry (10) joined Wright in double figures.

The year before that, OSU’s defense held the Cyclones to just 36 points in Ames, a game that saw Avery Anderson record five steals and score 12 points.

Iowa State’s last win in the series came in overtime in Stillwater during the 2021-22 season, with the Cyclones overcoming a career-high 34 points from Anderson.
