The Cowboys’ new staff is starting to lock in official visits for members of the 2027 recruiting class, which includes an upcoming visit for a highly touted in-state defensive back.
Broken Arrow’s Bryson Brown took to X on Thursday to announce that he’ll take his official visit to OSU from June 4 through June 6.

The Rivals Industry ranking lists Brown as the No. 773 player in the country, making him the No. 85 safety in the class and the No. 16 player from the state of Oklahoma.
Listed at 6-feet, 185 pounds, Brown has an offer list that includes Ohio State, Oklahoma, Miami, Florida State, Penn State, Texas A&M and others. Last month, he also announced official visits to Arkansas (May 29-31) and Kansas (June 19-21).
Not long after taking the OSU job, Eric Morris was in Broken Arrow posing for a picture with Brown on Jan. 21. Brown got visits from coaches from UCLA, Arkansas, Kansas and Vanderbilt in January, per his X.
The BA Tigers went 9-3 in Brown’s junior season. MaxPreps had stats for eight of Brown’s games, in that stretch he managed 32 tackles, including a tackle for loss. His highlights show him lining up as a traditional safety as well as at nickel. He had some textbook pass breakups and also wasn’t afraid to lineup close to the line of scrimmage to provide some run support.
The Cowboys don’t yet have a commitment in their 2027 class, making them one of three Big 12 teams without one at this early point in the cycle. For what it’s worth, Big 12 teams have an average of 1.6 commits right now, so it’s still way early.
