There might not be an architype of player Eric Morris likes more than a speedy receiver, and he’s found one he’s interested in out in smalltown Oklahoma.

Cooper Hooker announced an Oklahoma State offer on Monday. The 5-foot-9, 170-pound speedster is set to transfer to Pryor for his senior season after having previously played at Salina.

Hooker was lasered with a 4.44 40-yard dash in March at an Under Armour event while clocking a 4.38 shuttle.

After missing the 2024 season with a broken fibula, Hooker didn’t miss a beat when he returned this past season. He caught 50 balls for 850 yards and 15 touchdowns and scored 22 total TDs in his junior season.

Salina went 10-2, falling in the second round of the 2A-II playoffs.

Although he’s unranked for the time being, Hooker has a healthy offer list that also includes Texas State, East Carolina, Arkansas State and others.

Checking more boxes that Morris likes, Hooker is a multi-sport athlete who also excels on the baseball diamond. He was a switch-hitting shortstop for Salina this season, batting .467 with five homers.

The Cowboys have a lone commit in their 2027 class in quarterback Carson White. OSU is the only Big 12 program without multiple 2027 commits at this point, but it isn’t that they’re so far behind, as seven teams in the league have three or fewer commits.
