James Washington Named to Earl Campbell Award Watch List

James Washington is on another watch list. This time it’s for The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award which is given annually to the nation’s top offensive player that was either born in Texas, graduated from a Texas high school or played at a Texas-based junior college or four-year university.
The Power Five’s leading returning receiver has one final chance to add to his legacy at Oklahoma State. Washington has already cemented himself as one of the all-time great wideouts at OSU. It’s just a matter of where he ends on that list.
Washington leads all returning FBS receivers with 26 career TD catches and is likely at the top of the preseason list of favorites to win the Biletnikoff Award.
Washington was included on last year’s Earl Campbell watch list, as well. This year’s list includes 13 wide receivers. Finalists will be announced in December with the award given at a banquet in January.
