Jawun Evans Named to Naismith Trophy Watch List
Sophomore point guard Jawun Evans is one of fifty players named to the 2017 Naismith Trophy watch list. The honor is given annually to the men’s college basketball player of the year.

Last season, Evans’ 12.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game earned him Big 12 Freshman of the Year before going out due to a shoulder injury in early February.
Other Big 12 players included were Jarrett Allen from Texas, Jonathan Motley from Baylor, Monte Morris from Iowa State and Frank Mason III, Josh Jackson and Devonte’ Graham from Kansas.
A mid-season list of 30 candidates will be announced on February 9, 2017.
