John Wall Tackled Marcus Smart In a NBA Game, Got Ejected
John Wall and Marcus Smart recently got into it in a Celtics-Wizards game. Wall got frustrated, Smart got fouled and the three-second “fight” was on.
“Just me getting frustrated,” Wall told the Washington Times. “Got stepped on on purpose. Drove to the basket a couple times, didn’t get calls. The play before I did that, got smacked across the face and my ear [by Avery Bradley]. I just let my frustration get the best of me.”
Wall was tossed after the incident. My favorite response came from Wizards coach Scott Brooks. “We have to keep our composure,” Brooks told ESPN. Well yes.
“He made a hard foul and I didn’t take too fond of it. So I let him know what I had to say,” Smart told MassLive.com. “”I ain’t backing down from nobody and that’s going to be understood from here on out. I don’t know what he thought but I think he got the message.”
I personally can’t imagine Smart inciting somebody to tackle him in a competitive environment. This is so unlike him.
Crowder was informed that he, Smart are competing to be most disliked Celtic: "I think Marcus edges me a little bit. Guys don’t like Marcus"

Smart is averaging a 13-4-4-1.5 line in more playing time for the Celts so far this season. He even bumped his 3-point percentage up to 35 percent!
