Junior College Safety Jeremy Cook Commits to Oklahoma State
Cook follows new OSU assistant Kevie Thompson from Eastern Mississippi Community College.
Recruiting never stops, not even on Christmas.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound safety comes from East Mississippi Community College, where he played under new OSU assistant Kevie Thompson. Thompson was added to Tood Grantham’s staff to coach nickelbacks. In eight games last year, Cook recorded 24 tackles (14 solo) had one a sack and recovered one fumble.
Out of Hoover, Alabama, Cook originally committed to Arkansas before flipping his commitment to Jackson State. Something fell through on that front as well and he went the junior college route. As it stands, Cook would have three years of eligibility remaining. He also had offers from Cincinnati, South Alabama and Southern Miss out of high school.
While the coaching connections obviously had an impact on his decision, he’s not the first East Mississippi C.C. transfer the Cowboys have landed this year. Defensive end Rashod Bradley committed under the previous defensive regime and signed at the Dec. 4 signing day.
Here’s a look at some of Cook’s high school highlights.
