Kevin Durant Notices OSU’s New Kicks, Says OSU Was Top 5 Place He Ever Played
Oklahoma State has some new sneaker heat it debuted on Tuesday.
The Cowboy basketball account dropped a pic of the new kicks on Twitter and got plenty of love. They’re clean-looking KDs, with a unique customization of an embossed “C2E” on the heel — OSU’s mantra signifying its “Commitment to Excellence.”
Warriors star Kevin Durant took notice of the kicks OSU is rocking with, since they’re his brand and all, and made mention of it on his Instagram page Tuesday by dropping a fire emoji and a note that “OSU still top 5 places I’ve ever played.”
Oklahoma State-Texas in 2007 was one of the more memorable games of the century for OSU hoops heads. Durant dropped 37 (!), but OSU got a triple OT win, 105-103, to spoil his national breakout. Mario Boggan matched him with 37; JamesOn Curry had 28 and Byron Eaton had 11 big ones.
“My first experience watching am [OSU] game on TV was the Kevin Durant-Mario Boggan show where Byron Eaton hit the halfcourt shot over his shoulder,” said Mike Boynton in July. “That place [GIA] was absolutely nuts.”
Nuts it was.
