Konner Doucet Commits to Wrestle at Oklahoma State
OSU wrestling lands their first commitment of the 2020 class.

The Cowboys landed a big commitment from one of the top recruits in the state of Oklahoma.
Two-time state champ Konner Doucet, out of Commanche, Okla. announced his commitment on Instagram Monday.
Don’t let the small town fool you. He’s good, very good. Doucet finished fourth at Super 32 last year, one of the toughest tournaments in the country, he’s a two-time state champ, on pace to be a four-timer, and finished runner-up at the United World Wrestling Cadet World Team Trials this summer. Flo ranks him as the No. 7 wrestler nationally at 195.
He wrestles at 195 currently, but Flo projects him as a college heavyweight. I don’t know for certain where he’ll end up. He has a big frame and he’s tall, so you could reasonably see it go either 197 or 285. As a kid just going into his junior year he has plenty of time to grow, but he could be topped out as well. It’ll be interesting to see how that plays out. OSU has long-term needs at both weights, so it works either way.
He’s the first commitment for the Cowboys in the 2020 class. He was also being pursued by Arizona State, Wyoming, OU, and I’m sure many others.
Doucet will be wrestling at Super 32 in a few weeks along with other recent commit Chance McLane.
Oklahoma's Konner Doucet is another returning #Super32 4th place finisher looking for a belt. He checks in as the 7th ranked 195lber in the country via @FloWrestling.
