Kyle Crutchmer Wins by TKO over Brandon Wright at XFN 352
The former Cowboy remains undefeated in his young MMA career.
Former Cowboy wrestler and current MMA fighter Kyle Crutchmer, now 3-0 on his career, wrecked his way to a third MMA win at XFN 352 over Brandon Wright.

The two-time All-American was a heavy favorite and never let Wright make the fight interesting. Early on in the first round, Crutchmer took a few heavy swings at Wright, Wright then countered with an attempt at a takedown. Naturally, Crutchmer had no issue defending, took Wright down, and went to work grounding and pounding. At 3:59 seconds into the first round he finished off the fight with this.
With this win, Crutchmer moves his record to 3-0 with two submissions and one TKO.
Former Cowboys Alex Dieringer and Brian Crutchmer, Kyle’s brother, were in his corner for the fight.
I spoke with Kyle and his next fight hasn’t been set yet. It’s still a bit of a “wait and see” on if he’ll take on another XFN fight. These guys he’s currently fighting don’t quite match up. But he’s young and fairly new to the sport, so he does need to develop with fights at this level before moving to a Bellator or PFL type league. I’m curious what his coaches at AKA’s plans are for him? I.E. how long does he continue here before making that jump to a higher level league?
He trains with Daniel Cormier at American Kickboxing Academy. It’s the best MMA camp in the world, so they’ll give him solid guidance. And they’re well connected, so they’ll put him in the right spot when it’s time.
It’ll be interesting to see exactly what that plan is though? My guess is he takes on a few more fights at this level before making the jump to a higher level league, but the talent seems to be there for him to make a move up if he wanted to.
An ideal bridge between XFN and the next level would be if they could make this dream a reality vs. Logan Paul. It would be a big paycheck and has a much lower level of risk than jumping into one of the higher tier leagues so soon.
Yo @LoganPaul , I know a guy and he’s barely getting started. @KyleCrutchmer what you say? pic.twitter.com/ddZaw3MHAh

I’ll keep you all posted when something is announced on his next fight.
Update: After posting the original story this video was sent to me. This is Matt Dixon. He’s the XFN welterweight champ. 5-0 with two knockouts, a very legit fighter. This was directed at Kyle. Would undoubtedly be Crutchmer’s toughest test to date.
