Lane Taylor is on the move.

After spending all eight years of his pro career with the Green Bay Packers, the former Oklahoma State O-lineman is headed to Houston, according to a report by NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

The former All-Big 12 guard signed with the Packers after going undrafted in 2013 and worked his way into a starting role both at left guard and tackle. He played 79 games in Green Bay, starting 50, but saw his last two seasons end with injury.

In 2020, Taylor suffered an ACL injury that sidelined him after just one game. In 2019 he saw the field just twice before a torn bicep landed him on injured reserve.

Taylor has spent his entire career so far trying to keep future Hall of Fame QB Aaron Rodgers on his feet, but the QB position in Houston looks a little murky as of late.

Last month, Texans QB Deshaun Watson is facing a number of sexual assault lawsuits. His future with the franchise, and the NFL, is unclear. Other quarterbacks on Houston’s roster are Tyrod Taylor and Ryan Finley.
