Marcell Ateman Added to Biletnikoff Watch List
Senior wide receiver Marcell Ateman has been added to the watch list for the Biletnikoff Award, given to the nation’s best receiver. This makes him the third Cowboy on the list, a mark that leads all schools.
Also, it’s about time.
After missing all of last season due to injury, Ateman has been on a tear in 2017. He’s averaging 93.6 yards per game, good for sixth in the Big 12 and 19th nationally. Ateman has 4 TD grabs on the year and has caught 72 percent of his targets.
As the No. 2 option for Mason Rudolph, he’s averaging more yards per game than the top receiver for six other Big 12 schools.
He’s also showed off several reel-worthy catches that should get him on “the SportsCenter” as Gundy would say.
