Marcus Smarts Scores Postseason Career High, Celtics Tie Series at 2-2
Marcus Smart had your typical Marcus Smart stat-line game on Sunday to help the Celtics tie the series against the Hawks in Boston. He had a postseason career high 20 points on 7-15 shooting (3-8 from three) in an incredible 42 minutes. The third most for any player on the C’s.
Not bad for a player coming off the bench.
He also chipped in 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and lead the team with a +24 efficiency while he was on the floor. This tweet from Bill Simmons pretty much sums it up.
I'm glad America is witnessing the ultimate Marcus Smart game. I love this guy. He's one of a kind and he gives a shit.

It still makes you cringe a little when he touches the ball, but for the most part his insane effort and efficiency will keep him on the floor even if he’s coming off the worst three-point shooting season in the history of the NBA. The Celtics will head back to Atlanta for game 5 on Tuesday with an even slate for a best of three series to determine who moves on. If Smart can keep playing like this, these next few games should be fun to watch.
