Mason Rudolph on 2017 Wuerffel Trophy Watch List
Amidst the scrum that encircles Big 12 Media Days — and with the senior quarterback representing his team at the event — there is some more Mason Rudolph news to report.
Rudolph was named to the Wuerffel Trophy watch list. The award is given annually to “the player who best combines exemplary community service with athletic and academic achievement.”
Aside from his gaudy numbers and high-caliber play on the field, Rudolph has become known for his community service and contributions off the field.
From Oklahoma State’s press release:
In the spirit of the award, Rudolph has been tremendously involved with numerous community organizations on several occasions, including but not limited too: Coaches vs. Cancer, Read Across America, the YMCA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Tim Tebow’s Night To Shine Prom, Future Farmers of America, Grace Living Center (Nursing Home), Stillwater Medical Center, Nike N7, University Heights Baptist Church, First United Methodist Church and the Manning Passing Academy.
