Mason Rudolph Racks up OSU-Record 423 Passing Yards by Halftime
Someone needs to ask Mason Rudolph what he has against Pittsburgh. A year ago he set a new Oklahoma State record for passing yards in a half (372) and for passing yards in a game with 540. Records — even your own — are meant to be broken. He bested his first half from last year with 423 passing yards and five scores which ties Josh Fields for most passing TDs in a half.
Rudolph has been masterful in his dissection of Pitt’s secondary completing 20 of his 28 passes and logging a first-half passer rating of 257.3. And he’s spread the ball around. Five different Cowboys caught a pass with career highs from Jalen McCleskey (162) and Dillon Stoner (100) before halftime.
The Cowboys scored seven first-half touchdowns and were a perfect 9 of 9 on third downs. Here’s a look at every one of those scores.

Rudolph ended his day with 497 yards which means he now has 1,037 in 6.5 quarters against Pitt to go along with 7 TDs.
