As we near the halfway point of the season, the Heisman race is still taking shape. On Sunday, Westgate Las Vegas Superbook released its latest odds for the winner and the two in-state QBs fell to third and fourth.

Mason Rudolph’s Cowboy were inactive during their bye week, and Baker Mayfield’s Sooners were upset by Iowa State at home. Here’s a look at the odds as they stand through 5-6 games.

2017 Heisman Odds
Player Team Odds
Saquon Barkley Penn State 3-2
Bryce Love Stanford 7-2
Baker Mayfield Oklahoma 4-1
Mason Rudolph Oklahoma State 8-1
Lamar Jackson Louisville 12-1
Sam Darnold USC 15-1
J.T. Barrett Ohio State 20-1
Jake Browning Washington 30-1
Luke Falk Washington State 30-1

Penn State’s Saquon Barkley continued his impressive season with two rushing touchdowns but only needed 84 all-purpose yards for his Nittany Lions to roll Northwestern. The surprise of this early season has been Stanford’s Bryce Love. The nation’s leading rusher racked 152 yards — his lowest total of the season (!) — and a score on the ground to push his team past Utah and into the top 25.

Sam Darnold, the preseason Heisman favorite is sixth according to these odds. The sophomore bounced back with a three-TD, one-interception win over the Oregon State, one of his better games during a season that has been more of a sophomore slump than a breakout year. Darnold still sits at 12 touchdowns to 9 interceptions.

2017 Title Odds

The Cowboys did improved their national championship odds, at least due to attrition, during their week off.

Here’s a look at the current odds from Westgate Las Vegas Superbook.

Team Odds
Alabama 6-5
Clemson 4-1
Ohio State 6-1
Penn State 12-1
Washington 15-1
USC 18-1
Georgia 20-1
Wisconsin 20-1
Oklahoma 25-1
Oklahoma State 25-1
Michigan 30-1
Miami 30-1
Auburn 30-1
TCU 30-1

Oklahoma’s home loss to Iowa State knocked them and the Big 12 down a peg in most people’s perception nationally. Even undefeated TCU who climbed to No. 6 in the latest AP poll has worse odds at winning it all than the Bedlam rivals.
