Watch: Mike Gundy, Justin Fuente Share in Post Bowl Win Gatorade Bath
To the victor goes the sticky, wet, Gatorade hair, am I right?
Well, not if you’re Justin Fuente.
As the final seconds ticked away toward a Cowboy victory, Gyasi Akem and Kirk Tucker circled through the crowd armed with a cooler full of Gatorade. But the play was slow-developing and the senior linebackers caught up to their head coach just as he was catching up with Virginia Tech head man, Justin Fuente at midfield.

Fuente seems like he would be a good sport about it but Gundy didn’t looked pleased that his counterpart was forced to share in his celebration.
But Gundy shook it off quickly enough and summed up his team’s 10th win.
“It’s a great win for us,” Gundy said. “We knew coming into the game it was a real evenly matched game. Can’t be any more proud of our team. We lost two corners. We put two guys out there who are seniors. The defense played well late.
“Can’t say enough about our guys. Virginia Tech is a heck of a program. I have a lot of respect for them. Very proud of our team and appreciative of the Oklahoma State people that traveled to Orlando.”
“The seniors have led this program to three straight 10-win seasons. They should be very proud of that. Can’t say enough about our quarterback-wideout combination and obviously Justice Hill.”
