Mustang’s Jacobe Johnson Receives OSU Basketball Offer after Football Offer
Shades of R.W. McQuarters.

In April, Oklahoma State was the first football program to offer 2023 athlete Jacobe Johnson, and now a few months later he holds an OSU hoops offer as well.
Johnson, out of Mustang, announced his Cowboy basketball offer Monday.

Here is a breakdown of him.
Who Is He?
Johnson is a 6-foot-3, class of 2023 all-around athlete.
It’s probably too soon to tell what he will develop into, but in his freshman season at Mustang, the Broncos used him mostly as an off-ball perimeter player, though he does also have the capabilities of beating defenders off the dribble. He is a member of the Team Griffin AAU system.
On the football field, he is a wide receiver and cornerback for the Broncos. It’s still incredibly early in his high school career, but he made most of his highlights as a freshman on the defensive side of the ball. However, something tells me if he keeps growing, he is going to be quite the wide receiver prospect as well.
In the Rankings
As is the case with most players in his age group, Johnson isn’t yet ranked in football or basketball.
Others Involved
OSU is the second basketball program to offer Johnson, coming about an hour after TCU.
OSU was the first to offer him a football scholarship, but since, Oklahoma, Michigan, Texas Tech, Nebraska, Baylor, Iowa State and Memphis have all joined the fray.
