NFL Highlights: Jaylen Warren’s First Career TD, Tre Flowers Picks Off Tom Brady
See which Pokes made plays this weekend.
It was an eventful week for former Cowboys in the NFL, so let’s run through which former Pokes made plays on Sunday.
Tre Flowers Takes it Back
Former OSU safety Tre Flowers made a huge momentum-swinging play during his Bengals’ 34-23 comeback win at Tampa Bay.
After falling behind 17-0, Cincinnati made a couple of field goals to pull within 11 before Flowers grabbed the first of two Tom Brady picks with this diving play. The Bengals scored a touchdown on the ensuing drive and then three more unanswered. It was a huge momentum swing that fueled the comeback.
Thanks to the win, the Bengals are one full game ahead of the Ravens for the AFC North lead with just three games remaining.
Jaylen Warren’s First TD (and First TD Celebration)
After going undrafted, Jaylen Warren has been a pleasant surprise for the Steelers this season. Through 13 games, Warren is second on the team in rushing with 244 yards on 53 carries.
And on Sunday he found the end zone for the first time.
Pittsburgh head coach Mike Tomlin and quarterback Mitch Trubisky gave props while Warren got straight to the point, “I just wanted to dance.”
Other Pokes That Made Plays
• Across the field from Warren, Chuba Hubbard also showed off his wheels with a big catch-and-run in the Panthers’ loss to Pittsburgh.
• Justice Hill makes something from nothing.
• And Rodrigo keeps making plays.
